“Religious”

I initially wrote this for effect, but it turned into a poem.

Being intelligent isn’t a sin.
Being intelligent isn’t a sin.
Being intelligent isn’t a sin.
Being intelligent isn’t a sin.
Being intelligent isn’t a sin.
Just because Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “knowledge” of good and evil does not make knowledge ITSELF evil.
Just because Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “knowledge” of good and evil does not make knowledge ITSELF evil.
Just because Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “knowledge” of good and evil does not make knowledge ITSELF evil.
Just because Adam and Eve ate from the tree of “knowledge” of good and evil does not make knowledge ITSELF evil.
Just because something is called a “theory” does not mean that you can immediately discredit it because of fear.
Just because something is called a “theory” does not mean that you can immediately discredit it because of fear.
Fear is not the answer.
Fear is not the answer.
Fear is not the answer.
Fear is not the answer.
Fear is NOT the answer.
Fear is not the answer.
Fear is NOT THE ANSWER.
Fear is not the answer.
The unknown does not ipso facto disprove what is already known.
The unknown does not ipso facto disprove what is already known.
The unknown is not known.
The unknown is not known.
The UNKNOWN is NOT KNOWN.

(An analysis of my own poem: at first, this was my way of trying to get people out of this mindset that I discuss in this piece (this piece inspired this poem), so it was my way of using repetition to get it to “stick” with people, but it could also be interpreted to mean how religious dogmas work and how people believe things (not necessarily religious, but religion included) because they hear it so many times, whether or not it’s objective).

Where you can financially support me if you so desire.
